The FSR402 RFP602 Thin Film Pressure Sensor 1kg is a light weight, small, precise, ultra-thin resistive pressure sensor. Force Sensing Resistors or FSRs, are robust polymer thick film (PTF) devices that exhibit a decrease in resistance with an increase in force applied to the surface of the sensor. This force sensitivity is optimized for use in human-machine interface devices including automotive electronics, medical systems, industrial controls, and robotics.

The driver outputs both analog and digital signals. The digital signal threshold can be adjusted via the potentiometer on the driver. You do not need to connect any additional external resistor. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

  • Gasket installation - Place the green surface of the gasket on the sensor, in the center of the sensor sensing area, and then apply the tested object vertically to the gasket, so that the effective contact and force of the sensor and the tested object all act on the sensor sensing area.
  • Precautions when installing and using the sensor:

1. Try to choose a stable, smooth and flat installation surface; When your mounting surface is curved, you must bend it when you install the sensor, so that-the sensor sensing area will be stressed, which will affect the accuracy of the sensor to a certain extent, so be careful not to make the sensor effective The surface is installed on a curved surface with a large curvature (Note: the round effective surface cannot be bent, and the long tail can be bent);

2. It is recommended to use a flexible gasket with a relatively stable elasticity between the sensor and the measured object to ensure effective contact between the sensor and the measured object;

3. Keep the contact surface of the sensing area clean;

4. The force should not exceed its rated range;

5. Try not to solder it directly to the universal board or the circuit board without the specific package belonging to it, so as to avoid the thermal deformation of the tail and poor contact. The metal terminal of the sensor can be connected to the wire by fast welding.
