Product Details

The HDMI Cable 20m 4K UHD (High Quality) is an active, ultra-long digital audio-video interconnect engineered for long-run commercial AV installations, home theaters, high-definition security control centers, and digital signage. Engineered to bypass the high-frequency signal attenuation common to passive copper over long distances, it features heavy-gauge 24/26 AWG oxygen-free copper (OFC) twisted pairs, an integrated inline signal equalizer chip, and multi-layer aluminum-foil/braided-mesh shielding. Delivering up to 18 Gbps total bandwidth, it supports 4K UHD resolution at 60Hz (4:4:4 chroma subsampling), High Dynamic Range (HDR10/Dolby Vision), 32-channel immersive audio, and HDCP 2.2 content encryption without signal latency, pixel jitter, or frame drops.

Features

  • Integrated Active Signal Redriver / Booster: Compensates for high-frequency signal loss over 20 meters, regenerating digital TMDS clock and data streams to ensure a clear 4K@60Hz image without digital sparkle artifacts.
  • True 18 Gbps 4K60 Capability: Supports full 60 frames per second 4K playback with HDR10 dynamic color grading, fluid motion rendering, and no 30Hz stuttering.
  • Triple EMI/RFI Shielding: Multi-layer foil and braided shielding block external interference from nearby AC high-voltage lines, fluorescent ballasts, Wi-Fi antennas, and motor drives in conduit runs.
  • 24K Gold-Plated Terminations: Thick gold-plated contacts provide oxidation resistance, clean electrical contact, and stable EDID/CEC handshakes over thousands of mating cycles.
  • Rugged Flexible Construction: High-tensile strain relief boots and a robust outer jacket protect the internal copper pairs against twisting, stretching, and conduit abrasion during pull-through routing.

Common Applications

  • Home Cinema & Auditorium Projectors: Running long-distance ceiling projector video lines back to an AV receiver, media server, or Blu-ray source at the equipment rack.
  • Conference Rooms & Boardrooms: In-wall or under-floor routing connecting boardroom presentation tables to wall-mounted interactive 4K displays.
  • Digital Signage & Retail Showrooms: Connecting central media players, digital signage boxes, or industrial PCs to remote storefront video walls.
  • Security Surveillance Centers: Long-distance HDMI link from multi-channel NVR/DVR security consoles to remote security monitoring command stations.
  • Live Church & Event Production: Connecting stage switcher consoles or live PTZ camera HDMI outputs to front-of-house confidence monitors and LED screens.

Usage Tips

  • Directional Installation (CRITICAL):
    • Because this long-run cable features an integrated inline active chipset, it is strictly directional and cannot be connected in reverse.
    • "Input" / "Source" End: Must connect to the transmitting source (PC, Gaming Console, Blu-ray, NVR, Matrix Switcher).
    • "Output" / "Display" / "TV" End: Must connect to the receiving sink (TV, Projector, Monitor).
    • Always check the connector labels before pulling the cable through conduits, wall cavities, or suspended ceilings. Reversing the cable will produce no video output.
  • Pre-Installation Bench Testing: Always uncoil and bench-test the cable with your specific source and display before pulling it through walls, conduits, or tight raceways.
  • Conduit Pulling Best Practices:
    • Use at least a 25 mm (1 Inch) to 32 mm (1.25 Inch) smooth conduit to allow the bulky HDMI connector head to pass freely.
    • Attach the pulling cord to the outer cable jacket and strain relief boot using pulling lube. Never apply pulling tension directly to the delicate metal connector shell.
    • Protect the connector heads using a protective sleeve or painter's tape to prevent drywall dust, plaster, or pulling grease from entering the pin cavities.
  • Bend Radius Caution: Maintain a gentle bend radius (≥ 50 mm to 60 mm). Avoid sharp 90° kinks around stud corners, which can permanently deform the internal twisted pair geometry and cause signal impedance mismatch.
  • Source Power Integrity: The active booster chip inside draws a tiny amount of parasitic current (approx. 50 mA) from pin 18 (+5V power rail) of the HDMI port. Ensure the source device provides standard HDMI-compliant power. If connecting through passive unpowered wall couplers, check that the signal handshake remains stable.
