Testing Steps
- Fully Charge the Battery before testing.
- Connect Battery:
- Positive to positive input
- Negative to negative input
- Reversing polarity may damage the circuit.
- Connect Load:
- Attach resistive load to output terminals.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation—resistors will get hot.
- Power On:
- Plug in micro USB power.
- Display shows battery voltage.
- Start Test:
- Press “OK” to begin.
- Tester auto-selects termination voltage based on battery type.
- Display flashes 3 times before starting.
- Manual Termination Voltage (Optional):
- Use “+” or “–” to adjust voltage (shown as Pxx.x).
- Press “OK” to confirm and start.
- During Test:
- Display cycles through:
- Capacity (Ah)
- Discharge Current (A)
- Battery Voltage (V)
- Test Ends:
- When voltage hits termination threshold:
- Load disconnects
- Display freezes
- LED flashes rapidly
- Press “OK” to stop flashing and stabilize display
- Press again to reset and test another battery
Error Codes
- Error codes and their meanings:
- Err1: battery voltage is above 15V
- Err2: battery voltage is lower than the termination voltage
- Err3: Battery can not afford to load or discharge current line too much resistance
- Err4: overcurrent (current exceeds 3.1A)
Note: Use the resistance of the discharge process, resistive load will seriously heat, please pay attention to safety!
This circuit voltage in order to improve the measurement accuracy, specially designed DC bias, when the terminal displays nothing then a small voltage does not affect the actual measurement, if you are shorting the input terminals (absolute 0V) will show 0
