The T-Beam board is primarily used with the Meshtastic firmware, an open-source project that enables secure, off-grid messaging over LoRa networks. Meshtastic supports mesh networking, allowing devices to relay messages over long distances by hopping between nodes. Each device can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth for configuration and messaging. The firmware is actively maintained and supports various hardware versions, including the T-Beam V1.1.
