The Water Pump Submersible Pool Tank 5-12VDC 300L/H 60cm is a compact, ultra-quiet brushless centrifugal water pump engineered for continuous fluid circulation in small aquariums, hydroponics, desktop fountains, PC liquid cooling loops, and automated plant watering systems. Powered by an electronically commutated brushless DC (BLDC) motor with a high-durability permanent ceramic/ferrite rotor, it delivers a maximum flow rate of up to 300 liters per hour (L/h) with low power consumption and high electrical efficiency. Fully sealed with waterproof epoxy resin encapsulation (IP68 rated), it can run completely submerged inside water tanks, pools, and sump reservoirs, or run in-line with direct tubing connections.

Features
- Brushless DC Drive: Operates without carbon brushes, eliminating mechanical spark hazards, brush friction, and carbon dust buildup while extending continuous operational lifespan to over 20,000 hours.
- Wide 5V–12V Supply Range: Can run at low noise from a standard 5V USB port or power bank for desktop projects, or ramp up to full 12V output for maximum flow and head pressure.
- Epoxy Resin Encapsulation: All motor windings and internal drive electronics are sealed in waterproof polyurethane/epoxy resin to prevent water intrusion and dielectric breakdown.
- Detachable Pre-Filter Screen: Features a front-facing suction grill that filters out large debris, aquatic plant leaves, and sediment, protecting the internal impeller from jamming.
- Removable Suction Foot Base: Equipped with rubber suction cups to isolate mechanical vibration and prevent acoustic resonance on glass aquariums and plastic water basins.
Common Applications
- Aquarium & Fish Tank Maintenance: Internal water circulation, aeration, protein skimmer feeds, and nano-reef wavemakers.
- Hydroponics & Aquaponics: Nutrient solution pumping in deep water culture (DWC), nutrient film technique (NFT), and microgreen drip irrigation.
- Automated Irrigation Systems: Microcontroller-automated plant watering systems driven by Arduino, ESP32, or relay modules.
- Fountains & Water Features: Powering miniature indoor tabletop waterfalls, pet water fountains, and outdoor birdbath bubblers.
- Computer & Laser Cooling: Circulation coolant pump for DIY PC liquid cooling setups, CO2 laser tube cooling reservoirs, and high-power LED chillers.
Usage Tips
- No Dry Running (CRITICAL):
- This centrifugal pump relies on the pumped liquid for both internal bearing lubrication and motor heat dissipation.
- Never run the pump dry out of water for more than a few seconds. Dry running causes rapid friction overheating of the ceramic shaft and permanent melting of the plastic impeller chamber.
- Supply Polarity Check: Ensure correct DC wiring polarity (Red wire connects to Positive +, Black wire connects to Negative -). Brushless DC motor controllers have internal drive circuitry; reverse polarity connection will cause the internal commutation IC to fail.
- Priming Requirement: Centrifugal pumps are not self-priming. When used outside of a submerged pool (inline configuration), the inlet hose and pump chamber must be completely filled with liquid and positioned below the liquid supply level to prevent airlocks.
- Cleaning & Descaling: If water flow diminishes over time, detach the front snap-fit grill cap, extract the magnetic impeller assembly, and rinse out algae or mineral scale using fresh water or mild white vinegar.
- Driver Interfacing: To control the pump using a 5V/3.3V microcontroller (e.g., Arduino or ESP32), use a logic-level N-channel MOSFET (such as an IRLZ44N) or an electromechanical relay module equipped with a flyback diode (e.g., 1N4007) across the pump terminals to suppress inductive back-EMF spikes.
