- Two Distinct Surface Finishes in One Plate:
- PET Carbon-Fiber Side: Leaves a ultra-smooth, glossy bottom surface imprinted with an eye-catching geometric carbon-fiber pattern. Ideal for display models, cosmetic covers, and flat-face prints.
- Textured PEI Side: Features a classic frosted finish that hides layer lines and provides reliable mechanical grip for higher-temperature materials like ABS and PETG.
- Resilient Flexible Spring Steel Core: Built on a high-tensile spring steel plate that can be repeatedly flexed without losing its shape. Once the bed cools down, flexing the sheet pops completed prints off without needing metal scrapers.
- High-Temperature Soft Magnetic Base: Includes a magnetic sheet pre-backed with heavy-duty $3\text{M}$ thermal adhesive that sticks to the printer's aluminum heat bed. It holds the steel plate securely during high-speed printing to prevent shift or warping.
- Versatile Material Compatibility: Easily handles a wide spectrum of 3D printing filaments—use the PET side for crisp PLA prints and flip to the PEI side for tougher technical plastics.
- Adjust Z-Offset Carefully for the PET Film Side: The glossy PET film side is thinner and more delicate than powder-coated PEI. When setting your Z-offset, ensure the nozzle does not scrape into the smooth PET layer. A nozzle dragging across the PET film will permanently score the pattern and ruin the transfer effect.
- Avoid Printing PETG Directly on the PET Film: PETG forms a strong chemical bond with PET film. Printing PETG on the smooth PET side can cause the filament to fuse to the plate, tearing off the film layer upon removal. Always use the textured PEI side (or apply a glue barrier) when printing with PETG.
- Let the Bed Cool Completely Before Removing Prints: Allow the build surface to cool down below 35°C before flexing the spring steel plate. Removing prints while the bed is still hot can deform the bottom layer of your model or degrade the thermal adhesive bonding the PET film layer.
- Clean Surface-Specific Coating Properly:
- PET Side: Wipe down with a soft microfiber cloth and diluted Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) or warm soapy water. Avoid heavy scrubbing, as harsh paper towels or abrasive pads can scratch the smooth, glossy film.
- PEI Side: Clean regularly with 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to remove skin oils that interfere with first-layer adhesion. Avoid using acetone, as it can degrade PEI over time.
