The FN-M10P is a simplified, micro-embedded serial MP3 module that features a perfectly integrated MP3 and WMV hardware decoder chip. It is designed for stability and reliability, providing a simple way to play back specified sound files through serial commands or AD key control.
Specifications
Supported Formats: MP3 and WAV hardware decoding.
Storage: Supports micro SD cards and USB flash drives up to 32GB (FAT16/FAT32).
Audio Output: 24-bit DAC output with 90dB dynamic range and 85dB SNR.
Operating Voltage: DC 3.3V to 5.0V (Typical: DC 4.2V).
Rated Current: < 15mA>.
Communication Interface: UART RS232 serial control (3.3V TTL) and AD key control.
Baud Rate: 9600 bps.
Operating Temperature: -40C to +80C.
Operating Modes
UART Mode: Supports standard asynchronous serial communication for full control over playback, volume, and EQ.
AD-Key Mode: Facilitates control via a simple resistor ladder and push buttons.
USB Mode: Can be connected directly to a PC via USB for content management.
Features
Extensive File Support: Can manage up to 3000 audio files in the root directory or up to 99 folders with 255 tracks each.
Inter-cut Advertisements: Supports pausing music to play an advertisement and then automatically resuming the original track.
Customizable Playback: Includes random, repeat/loop, and single-repeat playback options.
Adjustable Audio: Features 30 levels of volume and 6 EQ modes (Normal, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, Bass).
Busy Signal: Pin 4 provides a low-level signal during playback and high-level during standby.
Pin Configuration
VDD: Power input (DC 3.3V-5V, Max 5.2V).
DAC_L: Audio output left channel (for earphones or external amplifiers).
DAC_R: Audio output right channel.
Busy: Status indicator (Low = Working, High = Standby).
RX: UART serial input (3.3V TTL).
TX: UART serial output (3.3V TTL).
GND: Ground (Power/audio).
ADKEY: Triggering output port for AD key control.
USB+: USB data positive (DP).
USB-: USB data negative (DM).
Usage Tips
File Naming: Directly in the root, rename files from 0001.mp3 to 3000.mp3. In folders (01-99), rename tracks from 001.mp3 to 255.mp3.
Copying Sequence: Files in the root are read in the physical sequence they were copied.
Logic Level: The module uses 3.3V TTL. If using a 5V MCU, a 1K resistor is recommended on the RX line.
Speaker Output: While the module provides DAC outputs, an external amplifier is typically needed to drive a speaker (see reference circuits for 8002B amplifier).
UART Feedback: Users can choose to receive an ACK (0x41) from the module to confirm successful command reception
