Usage Tips
- Balance Charging Mandatory: Always charge in LiPo Balance Charge Mode set specifically to 4S (14.8V) using a dedicated microprocessor charger. Always connect both the main XT60 plug and the 5-pin JST-XH balance lead.
- Standard Charging Current: Charge at 1C (3.5A) for routine use. Never charge unattended, and always place the battery inside a certified fireproof LiPo safety charging bag or metal container.
- Voltage Safeguards & Cutoff:
- Maximum Charged Voltage: 4.20V per cell (16.80V total pack voltage). Never overcharge.
- Safe Flight Cut-Off: Set telemetry alarms or ESC low-voltage cutoff (LVC) to 3.5V–3.6V per cell (14.0V–14.4V total). Discharging below 3.0V per cell (12.0V total) causes irreversible internal damage and swelling.
- Storage Voltage Rule (3.80V–3.85V): When storing the pack for longer than 48 hours, run your charger's "Storage" program to adjust each cell to 3.80V to 3.85V (~15.2V to 15.4V total). Storing LiPo packs at full charge or completely empty severely degrades capacity and inflates internal resistance.
- Cooling Before Recharge: Always let the battery cool down to ambient temperature after heavy runs before connecting it to a charger. Never charge a swollen, warm, or physically compromised battery.
