Usage Tips

  • Always Use a Dedicated Balance Charger: Charge exclusively with a microprocessor-controlled LiPo balance charger set to 2S (7.4V) in Balance Charge Mode. Always connect both the main XT60 power plug and the 3-pin JST-XH balance lead.
  • Recommended Charging Current: Set your charger current to 1C (1.55A) for regular charging. Never exceed a charging rate of 2C (3.1A). Never charge an unattended LiPo battery, and always use a fire-retardant LiPo safety bag.
  • Voltage Thresholds & Cut-Off Rules:
    • Max Charge Limit: 4.20V per cell (8.40V total). Do not overcharge.
    • Safe Discharge Cut-Off: Configure your ESC low-voltage cutoff (LVC) or telemetry buzzer to 3.5V per cell (7.0V total). Discharging below 3.0V per cell (6.0V total) causes permanent chemical damage and cell swelling (puffing).
  • Storage Voltage Maintenance (3.80V–3.85V): If the battery will not be used for more than 48 hours, use your charger's "Storage Mode" to bring each cell to 3.80V to 3.85V per cell (~7.6V to 7.7V total).
