The LJ8A3-2-Z/AX is an inductive proximity sensor commonly used for non-contact detection of metal objects. With a cylindrical M8 threaded body, this sensor is compact and easy to mount in automation systems, CNC machines, 3D printers, and robotics.
Working Principle:
The LJ8A3-2-Z/AX uses electromagnetic fields to detect nearby metal objects. When a metal object enters the sensing range (within 2mm), the sensor’s internal circuit closes the NPN transistor, pulling the output (black wire) low (to ground), which can be read by a microcontroller or other control system.
