Product Details

The TOMZN TOMPD-63L is an all-in-one DIN-rail smart circuit breaker, energy meter, and comprehensive electrical protection device. It combines real-time kWh power monitoring with customizable over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and residual leakage protection. It acts as a primary smart gatekeeper for residential sub-panels, solar systems, or industrial loads.

Specifications

  • Model: TOMPD-63L
  • Rated Voltage: 230V AC (50Hz / 60Hz)
  • Maximum Rated Current: 63A (Adjustable trip threshold: 1A to 63A)

  • Display: Front LCD screen showing live V, A, kW, and total kWh
  • Mounting: Standard 35mm DIN Rail

Key Features

  • Multi-Stage Protection Engine: Continuously monitors line conditions and cuts off power when voltage drops, surges, or current spikes exceed your predefined safe thresholds.
  • Integrated Leakage Detection: Acts as an electronic residual current device (RCD) to protect against short circuits, insulation failure, and shock hazards.
  • Real-Time Energy Metering: Logs power metrics (kWh consumption, live wattage, voltage, and current) straight to the mobile app for energy auditing and bill tracking.
  • Auto-Recovery / Reconnect Delay: Automatically restores power once grid voltage or load conditions stabilize within safe bounds, preventing short-cycling attached inductive loads like compressors or pumps.

Configuration & Wiring Points

  • IN (Top Terminals): Connect incoming main AC grid supply (Line and Neutral).
  • OUT (Bottom Terminals): Connect outgoing load circuits.
  • Front Buttons (SET / Up / Down): Used for local configuration of protection thresholds and manual calibration directly on the device.

Common Applications

  • Main Distribution Sub-Panels: Protecting sensitive home appliances against bad grid regulation, brownouts, or lightning-induced voltage spikes.
  • Solar Inverter System Gates: Monitoring net power draw and isolating solar tie-ins during grid fluctuations.
  • EV Charging & Heavy HVAC Lines: Setting strict current ceilings to prevent line overloads when charging vehicles or running high-power HVAC equipment.
  • Rental Property Power Management: Remote tracking of energy usage and automated cut-offs via the Smart Life app.

Usage & Installation Tips

  • Wiring Orientation: Always strictly respect the IN (Grid) and OUT (Load) terminal directions. Reversing the input and output lines can disable the relay trip mechanism or damage the internal power supply module.
  • Manual Parameter Override: Full parameter access (including precise calibration offsets) can be programmed using the physical buttons on the front panel.
  • Leakage Trip Diagnostics: If the breaker trips due to leakage current, resolve the underlying wiring insulation issue or moisture fault before attempting to reset the load output.

NOTE: Even though this device uses the same case of TOMPD-63LW version which has Wifi facility, it doesn't have the Wifi function. If you need Wifi, then consider buying the TA1816 version.
