The XH-M634 (also referred to as the HCW-M634) is a versatile, CNC-controlled battery charge protection board designed to manage the charging of lead-acid and lithium batteries.
Specifications
- Input Voltage: DC 6V – 60V (Support for max 80V in some versions).
- Application Range: Compatible with 6V to 60V storage batteries (Lead-acid, Lithium-ion, etc.).
- Display & Control Accuracy: 0.1V.
- Output Type: Direct output (Relay controlled).
- Voltage Tolerance:+/- 0.1V.
Key Features
- Intelligent Auto Cut-Off: Automatically stops charging once the battery reaches the preset "Stop Voltage" and resumes when it drops to the "Start Voltage".
- Wide Voltage Compatibility: Supports a broad range of systems, from 6V/12V car batteries up to 48V/60V e-bike or solar storage banks.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Features a digital tube display that provides a continuous reading of the current battery voltage.
- Safety Protection: Typically includes protection against overcharging and can extend the operational life of sensitive lithium cells by managing precise cut-off points.
Programming & Usage
The module uses two buttons: the Start Button (Left) and the Stop Button (Right).
- Set Starting Voltage:
- Press the Start button once to view the current start voltage.
- Long-press the button for 3 seconds until the display flashes.
- Use the Start/Stop buttons to adjust the value, then wait for it to save.
- Set Stop Voltage:
- Press the Stop button once to view the current stop voltage.
- Long-press for 3 seconds until the display flashes.
- Adjust the value and allow it to save.
- Factory Reset:
- With the module powered on, press and hold both buttons simultaneously until the display shows "888".
Common Applications
- Solar Charge Controller: Managing the charging of battery banks from solar panels in DIY home setups.
- Automated Battery Chargers: Building custom chargers for 12V/24V lead-acid batteries with an automatic cut-off.
- E-Bike Maintenance: Protecting 48V or 60V lithium battery packs from overcharging during long charge cycles.
- UPS Systems: Serving as a protective intermediary for Uninterruptible Power Supplies.
Installation Tips
- Voltage Polarity: Always verify the positive and negative terminals before connecting; reverse polarity can damage the control board.
- Setting Calculation: A common reference for lead-acid is setting the Stop Voltage at approximately 1.2x the rated voltage (e.g., ~14.4V for a 12V battery).
- Direct Output: Remember that this is a control module, not a charger itself. You must connect a suitable DC power supply/charger to the input terminals.
